Experience the rich traditions of Iordan and the Ukrainian Christmas season as they are brought to life at the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village!

Schedule of Events

10:00 a.m.

Church Service - St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church

Immediately following Church Service - Outdoor water blessing (Don't forget to bring a small glass jar to collect some holy water.)

 

10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Historical interpretation:Explore historical houses, including Pylypow House, Hawreliak House, Yurko House, and Stelmach House Learning Centre.

Horse-drawn wagon rides

 

11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Food Services and Gift Shop: Operated by the Friends of the Ukrainian Village Society.

 

12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Burning of the Didukh: Experience the symbolic burning of the didukh, with demonstrations running after 12:00 p.m.
