In honor of International Day for People with Disabilities, OCASI’s Accessibility Initiative is hosting a national and bilingual roundtable focused on Accessible Housing.

As the housing crisis affects communities nationwide, individuals with disabilities face unique and complex barriers to securing safe, affordable, and accessible housing. This roundtable will bring together experts, advocates, and community members to discuss innovative solutions and drive meaningful change toward inclusive housing.

By joining, you’ll contribute to the following key objectives:

  • Identifying Practical Solutions: Share and explore innovative, real-life strategies to make housing more accessible for all.
  • Advocating for Policy Change: Discuss current policy gaps and collaborate on actionable recommendations for policymakers, ensuring accessible housing becomes a nationwide priority.
  • Building Community and Connections: Connect with others who are passionate about accessibility, and join forces to advance inclusive housing solutions.
  • Empowering Voices of Experience: Learn from people with lived experience to understand the true impact of inaccessible housing and shape responses that address real needs.
