Every December, the Legislative Assembly celebrates the holiday season with Albertans by lighting up the Legislature Grounds and featuring free festive musical performances in the beautiful Legislature rotunda and grounds.

Outside Queen Elizabeth II Building, south end of Violet King Henry Plaza 

6 to 8 p.m.:  Legislative Assembly Visitor Centre open - Free family friendly activities, musical performances and hot chocolate available by donation. Explore the Borealis Gallery, Capital Gifts, Democracy Discovery Centre and Pehonan Theatre. Washrooms available.

6:30 to 7 p.m.: Light Up ceremony and festive musical performance on the south end of the Violet King Henry Plaza. Come join us for the countdown and light up of the majestic Legislature grounds, including the return of the big  Christmas tree!
