Join us on Halloween (October 31) for our Insect Pinning workshop and try your hand at prepping and pinning an insect specimen! Learn first-hand from museum professionals about how and why natural collections prep and preserve animals for display and research.
This workshop is open to anyone aged 12+, with no previous experience necessary. *Participants under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Each participant will receive one insect to pin and a shadow box to display it in.
Please note: This activity will require working with real animal parts and the biohazards associated.
