Join author Anh Duong and his daughter, award-winning filmmaker Ashley Da-Lê Duong, for a reading, a sneak peek of a documentary based on the memoir, and a discussion of Dear Da- Lê moderated by Hai Nguyen. This memoir recounts Anh's youth living through the Vietnam War and his unexpected time in Iran during the Iranian Revolution. Interspersed with letters from a father to his daughter, Dear Da- Lê is a vivid coming-of-age story that sheds light on the human costs of war and displacement.
