For young women with immigrant or refugee backgrounds to learn about and explore various career paths & industry sectors.

This event is hosted by the Newcomer Centre and its Global Girls program for young women, 15-21 years old, especially from immigrant and refugee backgrounds.

Listen to immigrant women's career stories and get inspired to plan your own future.

  • Get excited for an afternoon of storytelling, fun activities and thoughtful reflection!
  • We have amazing guest speakers from the community who also come from different fields of interest like sustainability, fashion, construction, medicine, and culinary arts. During their presentations, they will share their personal experiences as immigrant women in choosing, navigating and succeeding in their careers.
  • We encourage you to ask questions about their journey or ask for advice.

We hope their stories of resilience will inspire your creativity and confidence in pursuing what you want for your future.

Light refreshments and snacks (halal with vegetarian options) will be provided.
