An event focused on the needs and challenges faced by the African descent community in relation to autism and developmental disabilities.

Join us for a unique event designed to bring together community members to discuss the experiences of children and youth with autism and developmental disabilities and their families within our community. This event places a special emphasis on conversations with the African descent community to learn more about their specific needs and issues they face, whether a child or youth living with a disability, supporting children or youth with disabilities, or families seeking necessary services. This engagement will identify community-centred recommendations and help inform Africa Centre’s strategic decision-making.

What to Expect:
  • Engage in small and large group conversations to share experiences and insights
  • Participate in activities designed to encourage reflection and dialogue
  • Hear stories from individuals living with disabilities, their support and allies
  • Connect with others, network, and build supportive relationships
Who Should Attend:
  • Individuals with disabilities
  • Parents/Guardians of children or youth with disabilities
  • Community members interested in disability issues
  • Advocates and allies
  • Anyone eager to learn and contribute to the dialogue

This event will be photographed.
