With a keen eye on advancing Indigenous economic prosperity, we are proud to introduce a transformative event focused on Indigenous Economic Reconciliation.

With the second highest urban-Indigenous population in Canada, Edmonton is poised to lead the nation in economic reconciliation - if we work together. With the recent adoption of an Urban Reserves Strategy in collaboration with the Confederacy of Treaty Six First Nations, the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce recognizes the immense potential for Indigenous investment attraction and job creation. This strategic initiative underscores our city's commitment to working with Indigenous nations, including those beyond Treaty Six.

Max FineDay, a seasoned advocate for First Nations rights and the CEO of Warshield, will lead a conversation that goes beyond land acknowledgements, and gets to the heart of the roadblocks and opportunities to generating wealth with Indigenous peoples. With over a decade of experience in policy, communications, and government relations, Max brings expertise to the table. As a national figure in advocating for change, he has spearheaded initiatives aimed at navigating First Nations interests in Ottawa, building economic opportunity for nations, and fostering meaningful understanding within the business community.

The event will feature dynamic presentations and discussions on Economic Reconciliation in Action. From exploring the settlement agreements that may reshape the Western Canadian economy, how that will impact the local Edmonton economy, and what partnership looks like in this new ecosystem.

Join us as we embark on a shared journey of economic reconciliation, recognizing that this is not solely an Indigenous issue, but a Canadian imperative. Together, let's work towards a future of shared prosperity envisioned in Treaty 6.
