An evening of solidarity and art as a form of resistance- presented within literature, performance, and poetry.

On Saturday April 13th, Poetry 4 Palestine presents the 3rd instalment of the poetry series "LET IT BE A TALE", an evening of Palestinian solidarity and art as our form of resistance– presented within literature, performance, and poetry. As we seek and build together more sustained liberatory efforts, this event is an invitation for our community to gather as a safe gathering place for collective grief and respite within art.

The evening will begin with an open-mic portion that is open to anyone. You are invited to bring poems written by Palestinian writers/storytellers like Dr. Refaat Alareer, Mahmoud Darwish, Ghassan Zaqtan, Mohammed el-Kurd, and the like– or any work written by yourself for Palestine. The project focuses on amplifying Palestinian voices– their stories of resilience, resistance, and culture. Please make sure that the work you bring will not interfere or harm this action. Anyone interested in reading is encouraged to arrive early. All slots will be timed at approximately 2-4 mins long and are 'first-come-first-serve'.

To honour the capacity of our community, facilitators, and staff: doors will close at 7:35pm. Any late-comers will NOT be permitted entry. Your purchase will be considered as a donation. Thank you for understanding!

TICKET PRICE: $9 / NO ticket sales at the door
