World Health Day is a global health awareness day celebrated every year on April 7!

To celebrate World Health Day, your Science Centre will have many activities to help you learn about your health and the health of your loved ones.

Put on a lab coat, try out simulated blood typing in the L.A.B., and learn about your anatomy through pig organ dissections in the Health Zone. Plus, meet healthcare experts from Canadian Blood Services and the Health Sciences Association of Alberta and participate in hands-on activities to see what it is like to be a healthcare professional. Experts from the I CAN Centre for Assistive Technology will showcase a communication device that assists patients who have trouble communicating verbally.

Don't miss the MAN VAN® clinic in the lobby, Canada’s first mobile men’s health clinic, which will offer free PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) blood testing for early prostate cancer detection for men ages 50-70.

Plus - check out the Zeidler Dome showing of We Are Stars at 1:00 p.m. This planetarium show explains what we are made of, how the sun was created, and how a star is made.
