Undressed is a contemporary exploration of milestones, memory, and the most expensive piece of clothing you wear for one day. This hilarious and heartfelt solo show explores a simple but confounding question: What do you do with a used wedding dress? Inviting audiences to witness a real-time eco auction, our host Claire McKendrick offers a theatrical glimpse into those who have chosen to let their wedding gowns go. And just as each donor has a unique, moving story to tell - the dresses themselves seem to be declaring an urgent desire for life beyond the Big Day! As dream boards, budget debates, and bidding wars collide, Undressed explores the larger impact of the wedding industry and pressures carried by everyone in pursuit of happily ever after. Married, single, queer, or curious – Undressed offers a playful and interactive twist on what happens before, during, and (most importantly) after we say “yes” to the dress.
