A Métis woman retreats to her family's rural home to rebuild her life, only to discover a lethal presence that forces her to decide between what she is willing to sacrifice and what she must protect—while realizing that horror can manifest itself in more ways than one. From writer/director Tim Riedel, and Edmonton-based executive producer Edmon Rotea, NorthwestFEARFest is proud to present the western Canadian premiere of the intensely clever and creative thriller, ANCESTRAL BEASTS, as our 2026 closing night film!
