The unstoppable Jason Voorhees returns from the grave in the funniest, scariest, most crowd-pleasing entry in the entire franchise.

Directed by Tom McLaughlin | 86 min | 1986 | USA | Rated 14+

Starring: Thom Mathews, Jennifer Cooke, David Kagen

Kick off the 2026 edition of NWFearFest Retro ’80s Slasher Night with one of the most enjoyable, entertaining slasher films of the decade.

Jason Voorhees is dead and buried, never to kill again. But for Tommy Jarvis, he just has to make sure, so one dark and stormy night, he breaks into the cemetery to destroy Jason’s corpse once and for all. The lightning, however, has other ideas ...

After the intense fan vitriol directed at 1985’s abysmal Friday The 13th Part V: A New Beginning, director Tom McLaughlin would deliver arguably the most enjoyable sequel in the whole Friday franchise, with a film that didn’t take itself too seriously, while also delivering some legitimate suspense, scares, and memorable kills.

Rated 14+, gory scenes, violence, coarse language.
