On Friday, October 16th from noon to 2pm author Derryl Murphy will be in store to sign reissued copies of his novel Napier's Bones.

"Dom is a numerate. He can see and control numbers. On the hunt for an item of immense power which he has only heard about in whispers, Dom must flee across continents to outrun the fall of dominos he has unwittingly begun and a numerate even stronger than he is. Finding unlikely companionship along the way and dodging fantastical creatures and numerical wonders Dom must find a way to save himself, his friends, and their way of life."

The author of four books and 30 stories, Derryl Murphy lives on the often-frozen Canadian prairies with his wife and dog. He is a fan of soccer and of Liverpool FC, and fine single malts.

Features Edmonton, Alberta, not just as a location but as a plot element directly tied to the numbers-based 'magic' system of the book. - Winston (staff)
