In 2026, Transcend Coffee celebrates 20 years in business. To mark the anniversary, Square Sheep Films and Transcend Coffee are coming together for one very special evening.
Part 20th anniversary celebration. Part film premiere. Part coffee experience.
ORIGIN is the completed documentary from Edmonton filmmaker Mike Wivell of Square Sheep Films. Filmed in Canada and Costa Rica, it goes beyond the story of building a coffee company. The film follows Poul Mark's journey into the world of specialty coffee and his involvement with Costa Rica's micro-mill movement—exploring the relationships, people and passion behind the coffee we drink every day.
Before ORIGIN begins its journey onto the international film festival circuit, guests will be among the first people ever to see it at this exclusive public screening.
One Film. One Special Coffee. One Exclusive Night.
And the story won't end when the credits roll. Poul will host a special coffee tasting featuring Sumava Black Cherry coffee from Exclusive Coffees in Costa Rica—connecting the audience directly with the people, places and coffee featured in the film.
Your ticket includes:
- Admission to the exclusive public premiere of ORIGIN
- A special Sumava Black Cherry coffee tasting hosted by Poul
Ticket options:
General Admission — $20
Admission + 300 g Sumava Black Cherry — $45
The 300 g bag included with the $45 ticket will be available for pickup at the event.
