His name is on a ridge, a creek and a school, and most Albertans couldn't tell you who he was. John Ware Reclaimed is Cheryl Foggo's NFB documentary about the Black cowboy who helped build Alberta's ranching industry.

We're screening it during Canadian Finals Rodeo Week, because western culture belongs to everyone.  Then we're sticking around to talk about what we watched.

This is the first edition of After the Credits, an Edmonton film series built around what happens once the film ends: one film, one room for one real conversation.

THE EVENING
6:00 pm — Doors open. Complimentary popcorn and a treat from local vendors.
7:00 pm — Screening (71 minutes).
8:15 pm — Panel and community conversation, hosted by Veronica Quiandisimao (Chat with Vee), with director Cheryl Foggo and other Edmonton voices.
9:30 pm — Evening ends.

IN THE ROOM
Director Cheryl Foggo attends in person. Additional panelists announced soon.

DRESS THE PART
It's Rodeo Week. Dress in Western Wear!
