Join MZD for our interdisciplinary cabaret nights, curated and hosted by Indigenous performer/playwright Josh Languedoc. Featuring emerging artists, creative collaborations, and experimentation.

To open first cabaret of 26/27, I have chosen the theme “âcimowen.” This is the nehiyawak word for stories and storytelling. With TRC Day having just past, and being an Indigenous storyteller myself, I wanted to feature the idea of “stories” as a root for the first cabaret. We all come from stories, and we all carry stories. And what happens when we take different stories from different artists and put them side by side in conversation? Welcome to âcimowen. What is YOUR story?
