With the launch of the Edmonton Region Defence Alliance (ERDA), the Edmonton Metro Region is positioning itself as a potential western Canadian hub for defence and security innovation. What could this mean for job creation, economic investment, and the demand for new housing across the region? Following the federal government’s $6.6-billion Buy Canadian initiative announced by Mark Carney to strengthen Canada’s domestic defence industry, regional partners have come together to launch the Edmonton Region Defence Alliance.
