After losing his job, home, relationship, and dog, Jack Bennet heads to the Yukon with a truck and chainsaw to find a new purpose. This one-person storytelling show follows his search for community, home, and heritage.

Jack Bennet just got dumped, lost his job, was reno-victed, and worst of all, his dog died. With nothing left but a truck and his chainsaw, he goes north to the Yukon to start a wood harvest and find a new purpose.

Join him as he tells the story of finding community in unlikely places and how that drew him closer to home and heritage. The show features storytelling around the fire, some stand-up, a chainsaw or two, and just enough therapy to hold the good ship Jack Bennet together.

Plain-language description: LUMBER is a one-person show about 30-year-old Jack Bennet, who moves to the Yukon and starts a wood-harvest company while performing stand-up comedy, making friends, and going to therapy. A trickster character tries to stop him, but Jack persists and learns that community can be built anywhere you set down roots.
