Discover the wild, untold history of the city you think you know.

Join U of A alumnus Tom Long, ’03 BA, a Métis heritage professional, master storyteller and self-proclaimed fighter of "boring history" for an entertaining, two-part dive into Edmonton’s past. Choose to attend one or both of these highly engaging talks:

11 a.m. - Say what? Eight Unbelievable Stories from Edmonton History

An enjoyable romp through our city's craziest history where only one of the stories is a total lie. Can you spot the fake?

2 p.m. - Champions of our City: Activists, Advocates and Game Changers

From fur-trader demands to suffragist demonstrations, Edmonton has been home to advocates and rebels for hundreds of years. Hear the stories of those who pushed boundaries, questioned authority and shaped our city.

Your Ticket Includes:

  • Admission to the historical talk(s)
  • A complimentary beverage
  • Bonus: Full, all-day access to Fort Edmonton Park (10 a.m. – 5 p.m.)! We highly encourage guests to arrive early or stay late to explore the park and its amenities.
