Société Généalogique Du Nord-Ouest (SGNO): Tracing your French Canadian, Métis or other Ancestry

July 6, 2026 to July 11, 2026

Part of: Historic Festival and Doors Open Edmonton

University of Alberta (Campus Saint-Jean)
More Information

The SGNO is a non-profit organization that focuses on the history and ancestry of Canadian families and their genealogies, with a specialization in French Canadian and Métis ancestry, but can help with researching all lineages.

The society has 30 years of experience. Although most of the library resources are focused on French-Canadian and Métis ancestry, the centre has resources to search family histories from other countries. Volunteers are bilingual (French and English) and would be very happy to help you with researching and connecting with some of your ancestors and their stories.
