Edmonton has been home to a few seriously hot bands through the years and Pazzport was a brilliant ensemble that has been fondly remembered by the music aficionados in our city. From club gigs that were regularly jammed to the rafters, to outdoor Jazz City Festival shows, Pazzport consistently delivered a fresh and uniquely identifiable jazz fusion sound, to appreciative audiences.

Line-up:
Trevor Dunn, guitar
Steve Hoy, drums
Andrew Glover, keyboards
Kent Sangster, saxophone
John Taylor, bass

Dispensing compelling compositions with an impressive authority and attack, the members of Pazzport also delivered a vibe that let audience members know, “that enjoying the proceedings”, was an important part of the equation of a live show.

The good news is this all-star aggregation of smokin’ instrumentalists decided to revisit their always tasty, ever explosive, multi-pronged musical chemistry last fall with a short and successful residency at Rigoletto’s. With a slightly revamped line-up, original members Andrew Glover, Trevor Dunn and Steve Hoy, have enlisted two more of Edmonton’s exceptional jazz veterans to join them in Pazzport 2.0, those being saxophonist Kent Sangster and bassist John Taylor. These exceptional musicians bring a deep combination of experience and creativity to the stage and Pazzport 2.0, guaranteeing their audience a cool lift-off that will be heading toward any number of musical galaxies.
