Summer Solstice Community Gathering
Sunday, June 21, 2026
9:00am to 7:00pm
21
Join the Arts & Culture Council of Strathcona County to celebrate the Summer Solstice, share and celebrate the rich and diverse cultures and traditions and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
For generations, First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities have celebrated their cultures, languages, and traditions at this time of year. The summer solstice holds deep spiritual and cultural significance for many Indigenous Peoples, marking a time of renewal, connection, and celebration.
We will open the day with a pipe ceremony to welcome this new season; followed by an Indigenous Market, Dancers & Singers, guest speaker Roberta Alook, Kids' Corner, a Motorcycle Show 'n' Shine, a Feast and more!
We are honoured to make this Solstice celebration unique for Strathcona County and its residents with a safe learning and inclusive environment for the whole community.
We are welcoming vendor applications from Indigenous artists! Tables are free, please contact Jessica: jessica.accsc@gmail.com
