  • 11:30-12:15 – The Extraordinary Rhythm Rhythm Rhythm Drum Circle

  • 12:00 – Lunch is on! (BBQ & Potluck Feast)

  • 12:30 – LIVE MUSIC hosted by Kim Gates!

  • 14:30 – We have the site until 20:00 so we can hang out as long as we like!

Need help with anything? Just call us (780) 800 6697.

What to bring?

POTLUCK ITEM: We will be supplying buns, burgers, hot dogs, and vegetarian options for the grill. You can bring a complimentary food dish to share for the potluck. Please bring a small label displaying your food ingredients to help guide anyone with dietary restrictions.

DISHES: You can bring a dish, cup, and cutlery to help reduce waste. We'll also have compostable dishes available for anyone who doesn't have their own.

KIDS: This is a family-friendly event. Bring your kids! Children under 12 should be supervised.

FUN & GAMES: We have a whole field to play in – frisbees, soccer balls, cornhole toss, bubble makers, and all manner of silliness are most welcome.

MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS: Bring your songs if you have some to share! Guitars, drums, and your favourite musical instruments are welcome! We will have a fire going and lots of room to make music.

CHAIRS & BLANKETS: We'll have plenty of picnic tables but you can bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets for circling up, sitting around the bonfire, or sitting wherever you please around the pavilion.

WEATHER ITEMS: Bring whatever you need for the outdoors: a hat, sunglasses, water bottle, sunscreen, umbrellas, or whatever you need to be comfortably outdoors for the afternoon.

About Lucas Coffey & Rhythm Rhythm Rhythm

Lucas has hosted over 20,000 drum circles and is the founder of Rhythm Rhythm Rhythm, an extraordinary drum circle program for schools that is actually a covert platform for apprenticeship in human connection, healing, and community building.

You can bring your own drums but we will also have plenty of drums and other percussion instruments there for everyone to participate.

No experience with drumming? No problem! Lucas is a wizard! You will be amazed at the beautiful rhythms we can produce together with his masterful guidance.

About Kim Gates

Kim is a Canadian singer and songwriter and a long-time pillar of the local music scene in Edmonton. He will be hosting a live song stage at our gathering starting at 12:30.

Kim regularly hosts high energy live shows around Edmonton and writes original music with soulful lyrics influenced by the writing of Steve Earle and Billy Joel, and the music of Blue Rodeo and The Tragically Hip. His first album, "Help You Get Back Home", is available now on all streaming platforms and for purchase on his website.

About the Gathering

Once a month, we gather with our friends and families to celebrate the tapestry of beautiful relationships that make up this community.

The Grow Together Community Gathering welcomes people of all ages and walks of life. It is an intentional and inclusive space where we get to know each other as whole people, beyond the bustle of the workweek.

At each event, we share a delicious meal, engage in playful group activities, and open the floor to deep human inquiry and meaningful conversations.

Whether you're flying solo, coming with a partner, or bringing the whole crew—there's something here for you. Join us as we learn to move together, inquire together, create together, and grow together.
