Get ready to bluff, bet, and give back all in one fun-filled charity poker night!

You're invited to an evening of high stakes and high style at License to Give: Charity Poker Night. Step into a James Bond–inspired night of glamour, strategy, and giving back, where guests will don their finest black tie attire and try their luck at the poker table in support of a great cause.

Your ticket includes a welcome drink, delicious hors d'oeuvres, entry into the poker tournament, and access to a curated candy bar to keep your luck (and energy) going all night long.

The evening will feature a thrilling poker tournament with prizes for the top players, plus plenty of ways to enjoy the night beyond the table:

  • Poker Tournament with prizes for the winning players
  • Silent Auction featuring unique items and experiences
  • Permanent Jewelry for a little sparkle to remember the night
  • Glam Cam to capture your best Bond-worthy moments
  • Glam Touch-Ups to keep you looking red-carpet ready

Whether you come to play, mingle, or simply enjoy a sophisticated night out, License to Give promises an unforgettable experience where elegance meets entertainment—and every hand helps make a difference.

This year, License to Give is raising funds to bring two innovative technologies to the Lois Hole Hospital for Women at the Royal Alexandra Hospital: the Acessa system and the JADA® System. The Acessa system is a minimally invasive technology that treats uterine fibroids using radiofrequency energy—without cutting, suturing, or lengthy recovery times—allowing up to 1,000 patients each year to benefit from safer treatment options that preserve the uterus and support fertility. Funds will also support the JADA® System, a breakthrough device designed to rapidly control postpartum hemorrhaging by using gentle vacuum pressure to encourage the uterus to contract and stop bleeding after childbirth. Postpartum hemorrhaging is one of the leading causes of maternal complications worldwide, and access to this technology would help care teams respond quickly to emergencies and improve outcomes for new mothers across Alberta.

Black tie. High stakes. A license to give.
