Get Ready in the Park is a free, informative and interactive event hosted annually in May by the City of Edmonton's Office of Emergency Management in recognition of Canada's Emergency Preparedness Week. The event is fun for the whole family and highlights the work of the regional emergency response community.

Local emergency responders, along with approximately 50 groups from Edmonton’s emergency response community, will be on-site.

  • Learn how to prepare for a variety of emergencies
  • Meet and talk with emergency responders from the Edmonton and metro region
  • Learn how emergency responders work together on the frontlines during an emergency
  • See the inside of a fire truck and other emergency vehicles
  • Have lunch at one of the on-site food trucks
