Early Music Alberta is delighted to present a sparkling program in collaboration with the Edmonton Classical Guitar Society, as part of the city's Paganini Festival. Both organizations join forces in welcoming renowned lutenist and guitarist Lucas Harris (Toronto) to Edmonton for a weekend of concerts exploring the brilliance of Paganini and his circle.

Our program brings together some of Edmonton's finest baroque string players with Harris on baroque guitar, in a rare opportunity to hear Paganini and Boccherini performed on historical instruments.

Featured works include Niccolò Paganini's Tercetto for guitar, viola, and cello, full of charm, fire, and virtuosity, alongside Luigi Boccherini's Quintet with the famous "Fandango" finale, where Spanish flair meets classical elegance. The evening will also showcase solo violin works by Paganini, a reminder of the composer's legendary genius and flair for invention.

Join us for this vibrant celebration of Paganini's world—and don't miss the Edmonton Classical Guitar Society's concert the following evening, where Lucas Harris takes center stage once more.
