This programme begins with one of the best loved string quartets of all time: Franz Schubert’s Death and the Maiden remains among of the most powerful and poignant works in the genre. In the second half we are joined by Canadian violin legend, Mark Fewer for a performance of Mendelssohn’s exuberant Viola Quintet in B flat.
