Join NorQuest's Community Energy Innovation Centre for a free, hands‑on Energy Affordability Workshop for Renters.

Are you a renter aged 18 or older living in Edmonton or the surrounding area and feeling the impact of rising utility costs?
Researchers from NorQuest College want to hear from you. We are conducting a study to understand better the challenges renters face in accessing affordable utilities and the barriers that prevent people from reducing their household energy expenses. Participants will be invited to attend a 2‑hour session at a local Community League, where they will be asked to:
  • Complete a consent form
  • Take a survey
  • Take part in a focus group
  • Optional - Bring a copy of your utility bill for review: NorQuest students will be on hand to help you review your utility bill and offer tips to save
All data collected will be made anonymous, and each participant will receive a $30 gift card for taking part. Refreshments and childcare will be provided. All research data will be anonymized.
