Join Pro Coro Canada for an exclusive open rehearsal offering a behind-the-scenes look at our upcoming Good Friday concert. This special session will be hosted by historian Franz A.J. Szabo, who will share insights into the music, historical context, and spiritual themes of the program, including Antonín Dvořák’s powerful Stabat Mater.

Presented in connection with the the U of A's Wirth Institute for Austrian and Central European Studies, this event offers a unique opportunity to explore the cultural and historical world surrounding the music before hearing it come to life in rehearsal with Pro Coro Canada.

Guests are invited to arrive at First Presbyterian Church at 1:15pm to get settled in the Newcombe Room. At 1:30pm, Professor Szabo will speak about the program, followed by a brief discussion with Pro Coro’s team about our artistic process and community engagement. The open rehearsal will take place from 2:00 to 2:45pm in the same space.

Refreshments will be provided by Credo Coffee.
