Featuring Roya Camille, Jon Martin and Curt Young

CBC Provincial Playlist is going LIVE again! The long-time Edmonton AM music segment on CBC Radio One features Alberta artists and digs deep into their craft. We’re taking it from the radio airwaves to Felice Cafe for a special evening of songwriting and storytelling.

CBC Provincial Playlist LIVE will feature three singer-songwriters in conversation with Edmonton AM host Tara McCarthy. We’re excited to showcase Roya CamilleJon Martin and Curt Young. They’ll share about themselves and their style of music, as well as play original songs in an acoustic and intimate setting. We're also recording the event to broadcast on the radio at a later date.

CBC Edmonton is committed to developing community experiences while supporting local music. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to MusiCounts, Canada’s music education charity associated with The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and the JUNO Awards.

Roya Camille (https://www.instagram.com/royacamillemusic) is an Edmonton singer-songwriter blending folk, jazz and Middle Eastern influences to create a warm, soulful sound. This year, Roya Camille is getting ready to release her debut album, titled Breath & Being, produced by JUNO-nominated Enoch Attey.

Jon Martin (https://www.instagram.com/jonmartin_musicperson) is originally from southern Alberta, but is now an Edmonton-based artist. Holding degrees in both music and music psychology, Jon honed his record-making skills at a successful recording studio in Lethbridge. His latest album, titled Late September Garden Party, was released in May 2025.

Curt Young (https://www.instagram.com/cyhealers) is from the George Gordon First Nation, in Saskatchewan, and has been based in Edmonton for over a decade. He uses traditional and modern styles of music and dance to share life experiences, and works with schools across Canada to elevate music as a teaching tool. His latest EP, titled Reach Higher, was released in September 2025.
