Blackout Over Rio is briefly described as Avant-Jazz with a dash of Kraut-Rock, a garnish of Free Improvisation, and generous pinch of Noise.

Will N-R is a multi-instrumentalist, and composes electronic music under the pseudonyms BlipVert and XenoMech. A master of interpretation, saxophonist Allison Balcetis’ work has produced over 100 world premieres and a recent deep-dive into guitar effects pedals. Award winning composer Nico Arnaez is the electronic mastermind in the band, shattering the sound of the bass and more into millions of tiny fragments. Drummer Mark Segger studied with jazz icon Terry Clarke and has performed with Dave Burrell, Lina Allemano, Steve Swell, and Nate Wooley among many others across North America and Europe.
