Join us to explore whether firearms belong only in the military, or for your home too, or locked up in a museum!

The Edmonton United Services Institute is proud to present our annual defence and security symposium.

As family estates are sorted out and artifacts are discovered, a treasure of Canadian military and firearm history is hitting the market. Some of it is dangerous and illegal, and some of it needs a place to call home.

Meanwhile we have a federal government trying to identify and acquire the firearms of law abiding citizens for destruction; while in Europe some countries are handing out firearms to citizens for homeland defence.

We have a good lineup of speakers including the Chief Firearms Officer of Alberta and Valour Park has been invited to display some of their artifacts. The symposium is open to the public and lunch is included. Join us at the Kingsway Legion, Saturday February 28, 2026 from 9AM to 4PM

Admission is free for members or by donation. A suggested donation of $25 includes a tax receipt and a membership. The EUSI is a registered charity issuing tax receipts. www.eusi.ca
