Are you looking for a low-interest loan to green your home or business, including adding solar?

Join us on Feb. 26 at 12 p.m. MT to learn about the Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP) in Alberta. Through this program, 25 municipalities across Alberta are already providing low-interest green retrofit loans. Experts from Alberta Municipalities, the City of Edmonton, and the City of Calgary will give an overview of CEIP and answer your questions.

Speaker Bios:

Stephanie Ripley has a background in project management and operations in both the solar PV and technical theater industries and holds a BFA in Theatre Design and Technology from York University, and a Diploma in Alternative Energy Technology from NAIT. She is also a certified Energy Manager in Training, through the Association of Energy Engineers. Through her current role as Program Manager for the Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP), with Alberta Municipalities, she supports communities working to reduce their community greenhouse gas emissions by offering financing for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Alberta Municipalities is the Program Administrator for all municipal CEIP programs in Alberta. Stephanie lives in Treaty 6 territory in Edmonton where she is an avid gardener and year-round bike commuter.

Justin Smale is a Corporate Environmental Specialist with The City of Calgary who focuses specifically on Climate Financing initiatives to reduce community energy consumption and GHG emissions. Justin has over 10 years of experience working on energy reduction in the government sector. He currently manages The City of Calgary’s Clean Energy Improvement Program which aims to reduce the financial barriers that homeowners face when implementing energy efficient upgrades in their homes.

Barbara Daly has been a Program Manager with the City of Edmonton since 2006. Some of her projects/initiatives with City of Edmonton include:

  • Renewable Energy Task Force
  • Brownfield Redevelopment Grant Program
  • Energy Transition Climate Resilience Advisory Committee to Council (ETCRAC)
  • Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP)

Prior to joining City Administration, Barbara provided project management services in the Transportation, Finance, Information Technology, Marketing and Telecommunications industries. She has a Bachelor of Arts, Economics.
