Join us for an evening of learning and community building with Edmonton's current Historian Laureate, Donna Coombs-Montrose.

Jasper Place and the Black Community: an Evening with Edmonton's Historian Laureate.

This event is presented in partnership with the City of Edmonton's Historian Laureate and the Jasper Place Community History Project. 

The presentation will include an AfroQuiz, stories from the Black Community in Jasper Place, a Q&A session, followed by some time to mix & mingle.

Ms. Coombs-Montrose, BA, MSLS, is a founding member and current board member of the Alberta Labour History Institute. She served as the president of the CARIWEST festival for ten years, helped found the Caribbean Women Network and is a community activist who has supported many other community organizations including the Edmonton Arts Council and the Council of Canadians of Caribbean and African Heritage.
