His time spent out in the mountains, along with working in Alberta's boreal forests has fostered a desire to turn his passions into purpose through connecting with other members of the Edmonton outdoors community. Amanda Konnik with Travel Black Alberta
Born and raised in Southern Alberta, I’ve held a deep love and respect for the outdoors since childhood. That passion led me to create Travel Black Alberta, a platform where I explore the intersections of culture, community, and the nature gap. Rooted in the belief that nature is for everyone, I use storytelling to connect people, especially marginalized communities, to the story of the land and our shared responsibility to protect it. Now based in Edmonton, I try to highlight the vast beauty of Central Alberta through hiking, camping, and day-trip adventures.
