The Edmonton Chamber of Commerce is hosting its inaugural City of Edmonton Leader’s Reception and Dinner, an exclusive evening designed to strengthen relationships between the City of Edmonton and the region’s business and community leaders.

The event begins with a networking reception, followed by a seated dinner featuring the Mayor of Edmonton, City Councillors, the City Manager, Deputy City Managers, and senior City administration. Guests will be seated at pre-assigned tables with elected or administrative leaders to encourage meaningful, table-level discussion.

The evening concludes with a moderated Q&A session, offering attendees the opportunity to engage directly with City leadership on priorities, challenges, and opportunities shaping Edmonton’s future.

Q&A :

Why is there a limit of two ticket requests per organization at any one City leader table?

The City of Edmonton Leader’s Reception and Dinner is designed first and foremost as a direct engagement opportunity with elected officials and senior City administration. Limiting seating to two representatives per organization at any one table ensures a diverse mix of voices and perspectives, allowing for more balanced, meaningful conversation.

This approach prevents any single organization from filling an entire table and helps create a productive and inclusive experience for both City leaders and attendees.

Can we bring more than two representatives from our organization?

Yes. Organizations are welcome to purchase additional tickets, and all attendees will have full access to the reception, dinner program, and moderated Q&A.

However, each organization is limited to two seats at any one table hosted by a City leader. If more than two tickets are requested for the same elected or administrative leader, only the first two requests will be considered for that table. Remaining tickets will be seated at a different City leader table or reassigned based on availability.

How are City leaders assigned to tables?

During registration, attendees will be invited to select up to three preferred City leaders they would like to be seated with.

Seating assignments are made based on registration order and availability, with priority access provided first to Edmonton Chamber members, followed by the general public. While every effort will be made to accommodate one of the selected preferences, seating with a specific City leader cannot be guaranteed.

Additional Notes

  • Attendance by elected officials and City administration is subject to change

  • Seating preferences are not guaranteed

  • Media will not be invited to this event
