Voices, pipes, and resonant space combine to lift hearts and spirits with Jeremy Spurgeon, organ.

Chronos Vocal Ensemble’s 2025-2026 Season continues with a sacred music program offering an experience of hopeful reflection, that features Zoltán Kodály’s celebrated Missa Brevis, along with Samuel Barber‘s Agnus Dei, Grigorio Allegri‘s Miserere mei, Deus, and other sacred works that are both contemplative and joyful.

The program for Uplifted draws its inspiration from the collaborators featured: the magnificent, lofty sanctuary of All Saints Cathedral, perfectly suited for choral singing; the 2,133 pipes of the magnificent Canadian-built 1959 Casavant organ specifically voiced for the space; and finally (but not least) Jeremy Spurgeon, the Cathedral’s resident organist, well-known performer in Edmonton, organist/pianist for the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, and long-time friend of the choir.
