Discover how innovation, research, and collaboration are transforming the future of human movement. Innovations in Motion brings together experts from across the University of Alberta’s diverse faculties and iSMART to explore breakthroughs in prosthetics, mobility, and rehabilitation.

Speakers from engineering, kinesiology, medicine, rehabilitation science, and even some disciplines that will surprise you will each share a spotlight on their latest research and real-world applications—followed by an interdisciplinary panel discussion connecting ideas across fields including: Craig Chapman from the Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation; Patricia Dolez from the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences, Marilene Oliver from the Faculty of Arts; and Lindsey Westover from the Faculty of Engineering.

Join us for our interactive pre-reception and showcase to learn how technology, design, and health research are working together to improve lives and redefine what’s possible in motion.
