Global Citizens Lab: UN Simulation for Local SDG Action
Monday, Feb. 2, 2026
6:00pm to 8:00pm
Part of: International Week
2
How do global challenges translate into local action? And how can campus stakeholders influence real progress on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?
In this interactive UN-style simulation, participants will step into the role of stakeholder representatives — student clubs, NGOs, campus services, community partners, and more. Through a moderated speakers list, debate rounds, and rapid negotiation sessions, each group will advocate for their priorities, build alliances, and work toward drafting a shared Campus SDG Action Resolution.
This is not a lecture, it's an active decision room.
Participants will:
- Respond to a real SDG case prompt
- Debate through UN-style moderation and procedures
- Break out into negotiation clusters
- Co-create commitments that lead to actual campus action
No prior Model UN or SDG experience is required. Just curiosity, collaboration, and a willingness to speak up.
