A watercolour class for a winter scene typically involves learning techniques to create snow, like using negative space, salt, and white gouache.

Instructors often focus on mixing cool colours for the sky and shadows (like blues and purples) and applying them with a wet-on-wet or layered technique. A beginner can expect a class to cover simple sketching to establish composition and a step-by-step process to build up the painting. Learn how to blend colours and create textures for different effects. As well as finishing touches that make a big difference.
