A fascinating aspect of Chiseled is watching the ice carvers transform blocks of ice. Each team is alloted 15 blocks of ice and 34 hours over the course of three days to bring them to life. It’s worth it to visit daily to watch their progress, but if you can’t make it, the sculptures stay on display for a month, depending on whether the temperatures cooperate!

The following images are from Chiseled 2023. Watch the carvers for the intensity, focus, and attention to detail. It takes a special kind of artist to exert this kind of effort, knowing that in a matter of days or weeks the masterpiece will become a memory.
