This entirely volunteer-run event is hosted by Lunar Hive Baking Co and is all about creating community, spreading kindness, and raising funds for our neighbors in need. All proceeds (after covering essential costs like the venue + supplies) go directly to the @yegfoodbank💕

❄️ How it Works:

You bring:

* A minimum of 2 OR 3 dozen festive baked goods: cookies, squares, tarts, cupcake, fudge, cupcakes, s candies, or desserts (bring one kind or a mix—it’s up to you!)

*If you want to leave with 2 dozen assorted treats bring a minimum of 2 dozen, if you want to leave with 3 dozen assorted treats bring a minimum of 3 dozen.

*Want to bring more than the minimum? We would absolutely LOVE that and you're definitely on the Nice List 🎅🤶

🚨Please plan to bring a few extra cookies or baked items to ensure that there is enough for everyone to leave with a minimum of 2 or 3 dozen (sometimes cookies get dropped). Any left over cookies will be available for you to take home after everyone has filled their box with 2 or 3 dozen (based on the amount they submit). Spread kindness like Christmas Cheer! 🚨

* Generously portioned treats (1 cookie ≈ 2 small candies like caramels, truffles, or pretzels). When filling your box, treats that are smaller will be clearly labelled that 2 of the smaller treats count as 1 cookie. For example if you are planning on bringing smaller sized items you will need to double the amount your bringing. Have questions? We're here to help! Email us at yegcookieswap@gmail.com!

*You must bring a written name + description of your baking + any allergens (ex. tree nuts, peanuts, sesame, etc.). Please bring this with you to speed up check-in (it doesn't have to be fancy!)

Your ticket + your individuality portioned treats (equivalent of 2 or 3 dozen cookies or squares) = entry

Each ticket holder must bring a submission of cookies to receive a box. If you purchase 2 tickets, you need to bring 2 seperate submissions of 2 or 3 dozen holiday treats!

We provide:

* An official YEG Holiday Cookie & Square Swap box for you to fill with assorted goodies.

* Tongs for each platter/box to keep things tidy + avoid cross contamination.

* A festive, cozy space to mingle, swap, and spread cheer.

*Talent Productions will be there with a festive & fun Digital Photobooth available to all ticket holders and their guest (included)

*Corinne Monique, a local bespoke live artist will be available to create a portrait, sketch of your baking or pet portrait of your furry family member(s) from a reference photo ($)

*We'll have a Gourmet Hot Chocolate Bar with festive flavors, toppings and all the sweet trimmings ($, by donation)

*Do you love Christmas Crafting? Create a custom, light up Snow Globe for you to take home and enjoy for years to come (limited quantities available, by donation)

✨ If you bring 2 dozen, you’ll leave with a minimum of 2 dozen assorted treats. Bring 3 dozen? You’ll leave with a minimum of 3 dozen! Choose to enjoy them immediately or (pro-tip) freeze them for your holiday parties.

🎅 Schedule:

We’re hosting **two waves** so more of you can join the fun:

Morning Swap: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Afternoon Swap: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Your ticket is only valid for the time frame you sign up for. Check-in with your baking between 10:00 am and 11:00 am if you're part of the Morning Swap (and leave no later than 1:00 pm)

OR

Check-in with your baking between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm for the Afternoon Swap (and leave no later than 5:00 pm)

The YEG Holiday Cookie and Square Swap volunteers will set iout your baking, with your description card, while you take advantage of the festive fun, mingle and grab a seat.

Once all the baking arrives and is setup by the YEG Holiday Cookie & Square Swap team, we'll invite everyone up for photo ops and to browse, and then get ready for the sweetest holiday swap in town.
