Prepare to dive into the scandalous world of Oscar Wilde's trials with Moisés Kaufman's "Gross Indecency."

Step into the courtroom where art, love, and scandal collide. This fall the Concordia University of Edmonton’s Theatre Program brings Moisés Kaufman’s riveting docudrama Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde to the stage directed by faculty member David Horak.

Drawn entirely from trial transcripts, newspaper accounts, and Wilde’s own dazzling writings, this bold and unflinching play examines one of history’s most infamous prosecutions and the downfall of one of literature’s most celebrated voices.

Equal parts history lesson, courtroom drama, and urgent mirror to our times, Gross Indecency illuminates the price of genius in an intolerant world — and asks us what has truly changed since 1895.

Daring. Poetic. Unforgettable. Don’t miss Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde.
