Get ready to ride your bike in costume through the streets at night for a spooky and fun celebration of spooky season!
Join us on November 1st for a Halloween themed bike ride! We will be leaving Churchill Square at 5:30 then riding about 8km.
This is is an all ages and abilities, family-friendly event. Children on cargo bikes, bakfiets, in trailers, etc are welcomed to come and play. People on e-bikes, roler-blades, scooters or any other other micro-mobility devices are also welcome (basically anything that doesn't have a gas motor)!
You do not need to register to attend!
What is Critical Mass?
Critical Mass rides are to make visible the number of cyclists in a city and remind city administrators that we require safe, smart, and effective infrastructure to allow us to use our bicycles (or other human-scale devices like scooters, e-bikes, etc.).
Don't forget to bring:
- Halloween Costumes or a calavera (or combine them!)
- Lights
- Noise Makers
- Signs or other bike decorations
- Helmets (Required for children; optional but recommended for adults)
Normally, Critical Mass is the last Friday of the month, but we heard you loud & clear - people want to trick or treat with kids, hand out candy, or celebrate Halloween other ways.
Please make sure your costumes keep you warm/dry, and don't hamper your vision or mobility, etc. Let's have some fun!
