The CFR Backroads Series is a citywide celebration of live music in Edmonton, leading up to and during Canadian Finals Rodeo. Join us as Edmonton comes alive with performances that highlight the heart of western culture.

Catch 16 shows at 13 venues, where over 35 artists will take the stage, showcasing the best of country, roots, and Americana music! From intimate spaces to iconic music rooms and neighbourhood stages, every event is free to attend, making it easy to experience the rodeo spirit through live music. Featuring homegrown Alberta talent as well as acts from Victoria to Nashville sprinkled in between.


The CFR Backroads series is presented by the Canadian Finals Rodeo, supported by the City of Edmonton and Explore Edmonton, and produced by Bird Creatives.
