September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a time to honour the children who never returned home, survivors of residential schools, and their families.
In partnership with the City of Edmonton, the Indigenous Peoples Experience at Fort Edmonton Park will be open as a ticketed event on Tuesday, September 30, offering you an opportunity to learn the truths of Indigenous life before and after the formation of Canada.
Hours
- 9:30 AM -10:30 AM | Opening Ceremony
- Everyone is invited to attend the Opening Ceremony, but entry into the Indigenous Peoples Experience will only be permitted at your ticketed time.
- 11:00 AM | Ticketed Access Begins
- 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM | Indigenous Peoples Experience Hours
*Please note: only the Indigenous Peoples Experience will be open. All other attractions at Fort Edmonton Park will be closed.

Ages 12 & up: $5.00/guest
Ages 11 & under: FREE
Fort Edmonton Park is proud to formally partner with the Confederacy of Treaty Six First Nations and the Métis Nation of Alberta.
In the spirit of reconciliation and in honour of their crucial role in stewardship, storytelling, and shaping Amiskwaciwâskahikan/Edmonton, free admission is offered to all Indigenous Peoples.
Indigenous guests may self-declare at the Box Office on the day of their visit or select tickets online in advance.
