Join Dr. Kisha Supernant of the University of Alberta's Institute of Prairie and Indigenous Archeology to learn more about the Métis archeological footprint in St. Albert.

From trash to treasures, bones to beads, there is always more to learn from the land beneath our feet.

In May and June 2023, the University of Alberta's Institute of Prairie and Indigenous Archeology (IPIA) held an archeological field school at St. Albert's Historic River Lots. This summer, join Dr. Kisha Supernant (IPIA Director and Professor of Anthropology at the U of A) to learn more about the Métis archeological footprint in St. Albert. Dr. Supernant will share some of the belongings unearthed at St. Albert's Historic River Lots in 2009 and during the 2023 IPIA field school.
