Interactive Arts Alberta is thrilled to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Game Discovery Exhibition (GDX)! GDX 2025 is returning to Edmonton this July, with the conference running from July 16-17, 2025. In honour of this milestone, we're doing something new–launching our first-ever open call for submissions for talks, presentations, and workshops.

Whether you're an industry leader or a fresh voice (including students), we want YOU to help shape this landmark event with your unique insights and expertise! As the premier games industry event in Western Canada, we are highly encouraging those from marginalized, underrepresented, and underestimated backgrounds to apply. This is your chance to be part of the biggest indie games event in North America.

GDX 2025 will feature our four exciting summits:
- Artificial Intelligence + Machine Learning Summit (AI/ML)
- Building a Better Games Industry Summit
- Indigeneity and Diaspora in Games Summit (IDiG)
- Indie Summit
