NorQuest’s Family Caregiver Wellness Initiative provides free workshops to caregivers. Each workshop is taught by an experienced health-care provider and includes up-to-date, accurate information to help you feel more confident in your caregiving role.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to observe your loved one’s pain level and provide supportive measures in the home environment. You’ll discuss pain, pain management, and tools to observe, determine, and manage their level of pain.

Learning outcomes:

  • Identify signs and symptoms of pain, as well as pain reactions
  • Explore technology and tracking pain apps to support your loved one
  • Discuss pharmacological and non-pharmacological pain management
  • Learn how the effects of chronic pain can impact your loved one’s quality of life
  • Discover communication techniques with the myths and stigma of using pain medications

You’ll also discuss safe living spaces and its role in pain avoidance and management. After participating, you’ll feel confident knowing you’re providing safe and effective care for your loved one.

Join us for this FREE, online workshop. You’ll also have the chance to connect with other caregivers and have your questions answered.
